Jesaja 26:5

SV	Want Hij buigt de hooggezetenen neder, de verheven stad; Hij vernedert ze, Hij vernedert ze tot de aarde toe, Hij doet ze tot aan het stof reiken.
WLC	כִּ֤י הֵשַׁח֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י מָרֹ֔ום קִרְיָ֖ה נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה יַשְׁפִּילֶ֤נָּה יַשְׁפִּילָהּ֙ עַד־אֶ֔רֶץ יַגִּיעֶ֖נָּה עַד־עָפָֽר׃
Trans.	kî hēš^aḥ yōšəḇê mārwōm qirəyâ niśəgāḇâ yašəpîlennâ yašəpîlāh ‘aḏ-’ereṣ yagî‘ennâ ‘aḏ-‘āfār:

AC	ה כי השח ישבי מרום קריה נשגבה ישפילנה ישפילה עד ארץ יגיענה עד עפר
ASV	For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.
BE	For he has made low those who are lifted up, all the people of the town of pride: he makes it low, crushing it down to the earth; he makes it low in the dust.
Darby	For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low, he layeth it low to the ground, he bringeth it even to the dust.
ELB05	Denn er hat Hochwohnende niedergebeugt, die hochragende Stadt; er hat sie niedergestürzt, zu Boden gestürzt, hat sie niedergestreckt bis in den Staub.
